WTF U.S. Postal Service??

So I go t the post office to mail off some bills. The only stamps I had were the $0.41. Now that stamps are $0.42, I needed to by a whopping total of four, FOUR, $0.01 make-up stamps.

I stand in line for something like 15 - 20 minutes and finally get up to the counter.

Me: I need four make up stamps
Postal Employee: We are out of make-up stamps.
Me: Well these need to go out today, and I have already stamped them with the $0.41 stamps.
PE: You need to buy new stamps.
Me: So I am supposed to buy a buck seventy worth of stamps because you ran out of your own product? Just put those print out sticker stamps on them.
PE: Were not allowed to do that.
Me: So basically you are trying to penalize me because you ran out of stamps. Just put the sticker stamps on them so we can both get on with our lives.
PE: Fine. But from now on this isn't allowed.... begins task of printing off $0.01 make-up postage and affixing them to the mail.
When she was done, I handed over 4 pennies
Me: Have a nice day. (she was really pissed off)
