whoa! 1300 cals a day - thats pretty low. see if you are losing weight, if not, you might have to eat a bit more - somewhere around 1400 to 1500. if you eat too little you actually are doing yourself no favors - it will slow down your metabolism and the scale won't budge.
It was just the first few days. I actually eat around 1500 - 1600. Whic is about half of what I was eating before (shockingly).

However, I feel great and I have a goal to accomplish (not look hideous in a bridesmaid dress) to keep me motivated.

anyhow, 1500-1600 is a great range to be in - much better than the 1300. i am so happy for you to do this and to have a goal. the more you lose, the better you feel, the better you feel, the more you will want to lose. i was thinking of starting a health and nutrition blog, since its one of my hobbies (that i spend an extraordinary amount of time doing/reading/exercising). maybe we should write it together - would you be interested?
So far I have lost 6-8 pounds. I'm thinking more on the low end. I am not sure how accurate the scale I used to get my start weight was.

A health and nutrition blog you say? Mmmm.... Sounds interesting and fun. What sort of stuff would you like to include? Let me know. I might not have tons of time to devote to it, but It might be fun and I might learn something too. : )
