We got the keys to the new house today!!! We're gonna start moving stuff over this weekend and over the comin week. The "Big Move" date is planned for Saturday May 10.
Whoo Hooo!!!
What are your neighbors like? (The ones you live near or next to, not the ones in your Vox neighborhood!)
I hate (OK hate is a strong word) I dislike my current neighbors. They are mostly senior citizens who have nothing better to do than bitch about everything. I can't wait to move. Hopefully my neighbors in my new neighborhood are better.
We are in escrow, as of Tuesday morning, and in out 'Due Diligence' period. We have to review all of the paperwork for the offer and the banks acceptance, read and review the HOA documents, and get our home inspection done.
Today, I am taking documentation over to our mortgage broker so he can finish up the mortgage papers and get them sent off.
Hopefully we will get this wrapped up and close escrow on the property by the end of the month.

(I feel special) The office is a small 'satellite" style branch of the Reno office, so the HR/manager peeps get to make the final decision. I hope to hear back from them by the end of the week or early next week. The manager guy in Reno said they would like to have me start on the 21st of April.
I hate waiting, for anything and everything.

The offending cat:
The last thing I need is a mouse infestation, so I jump up and grab a small bowl from the kitchen and trap the little mouse under it.
I finagle a piece of cardboard under the bowl and transport the mouse into a paper shopping sack from Trader Joes.
I had to take some obligatory photos of said mouse in the sack and when I took it outside (AKA rescued from certain death from torture by cat).
Poor thing was so scared. The mouse, not the cat.
Sorry to hear that. There are some good, reliable cars out there and it’s always a shame to hear when... read more
